Photojournalism has always been one of my favorite forms of journalism because of how much power one simple photo can have. Even before I was a member of the yearbook and newspaper staffs, I found myself taking pictures everywhere I went. The feeling I get when I know that I captured the perfect shot is indescribable. I love the fact that I am able to tell a story without any words needing to be written or said. In this day in age, social media has taken over our lives, and front and center are all of the images being posted by everyone. Journalists, like myself, now have a platform to reach thousands of people with our work within a few minutes and a simple click of a button. I love scrolling through my feed and seeing people proudly post my images. Below are a few of the thousands of photos I have taken throughout the course of the past two years.
